We can’t say Happy Mother’s Day without thanking our mothers (aunts, grandmas, sisters, step-mothers, god-mothers, and every other women) for being our biggest supporters and loving us unconditionally. For the 2022 calendar year, Mother’s Day is approaching on May 8th. Anna Jarvis held the holiday in 1908 at a Methodist church located in West Virginia to honor women who were dedicated to raising their children. Six years later, it became a U.S. holiday, according to history.

Here are some ideas to celebrate and honor your favorite mother this holiday weekend.

1) Go to a Local Event

– Check your local area for any Mother’s Day events. There might be several events that your mother might enjoy!

2) Create or Buy a Meaningful Gift

– You can’t go wrong buying a meaningful gift for your mother. Whether it’s jewelry, clothes, shoes, handbags, or create something, only you and your mother can connect personally. For example, create a digital music playlist of all the songs she listened to as a child through her adult years.

3) Breakfast/Brunch/Dinner

– Making your mother’s favorite meals will brighten her day! Going out or getting takeout at one of her favorite restaurants is another way to make her day special.

4) Nail (Spa)/ Shopping Spree Day

– There’s nothing wrong with going to a local spa with your favorite mother or sending her to have a relaxed and stress-free day. And if that’s not enough, you and your mother can go out shopping at her favorite (outlet) mall, store, or online.

5) Zoom Meeting

– If traveling or going out is still an issue due to COVID-19, seeing each other online will be a great way to spend time (from a distance ☺️) together.
