Box Started from BET to Being Certified!
Ms. Ivy Box is no stranger to today’s Business Marketing and Entertainment Industries! The former BET’s College Hill Interns “Quiet Storm” star, is a first generation Haitian-American from Ft. Myers, FL, that proclaimed as a certified Go Get H.E.R.S ®. Box’s experiences led her to become an author of The 365 Go Get H.E.R.S ® Guide, and The 365 Go Get H.I.S Guide. “I just wanted to create something… It was like a roadmap and a guide that kind of compresses all the things I learned, and all the things that I’ve been taught. Through these self-help and motivational experiences, and influences. And I wanted all in one place.” Box explained.
Providing More to Her Community
The former Entrepreneur of the Year Award Winner also has a nonprofit organization called Voice The Movement, Incorporated. The organization focuses on the core initiatives of Health, Art and Entertainment, Technology, and Education. Voice The Movement, Incorporated, hosts annual empowerment workshops for over 500 local middle and high school boys and girls. College Experiences
Box’s college experiences led her to find her true passion in the Business Marketing field, instead of pursuing in Biology, Pre-Med. The University of South Florida Alumna remembers herself as a student, finding activities and organizations that correlates to her career. Because of her experiences, Box joined other organizations after college like The Tampa Bay Black Heritage Festival, Inc. In addition to that, Box is the Marketing Coordinator for the nonprofit organization that helds the African and African American art, history, and cultural event during the Martin Luther King Jr.’s week. Box believes people should give college a try, and she hopes it influences them to attend any institutions. “I [really] encourage people to take full advantage of college. Find the right college for you…” Said Box.
