On Sunday, December 12, 2021, the Coliseum of Comics at New Tampa held a meet and greet for the legendary Power Ranger actor Jason David Frank. Many old and newer Ranger fans lined up to meet Tommy Oliver. To take pictures and have him signed autographs, helmets, swords, and even Oliver’s Saba sword. And a cute, memorable moment with a Pink Ranger fan ❤️!

Who are the Power Rangers?

Power Rangers premiered on Fox Kids on August 28, 1993. The pop culture 90’s show introduced 5 teenagers (Jason, Kimberly, Zack, Billy, and Trini) from Angel Grove High.  A wizard from Eltar (and their mentor) Zordon, and his robotic assistant, Alpha 5. They created the Command Center outside of Angel Grove (fictional city), California, in case Rita Repulsa and her minions were to be released from the dumpster. It was located at the moon that Zordon seals them in after a war they had 10,000 years ago. Which two astronauts released them…

After selecting 5 teenagers “with attitude,” Zordon provided them power morphers, power coins, and zords to become Power Rangers! Once Rita starts destroying the city and attacking the rangers, the teens morph into action to stop her invading earth. During the first season, Rita Repusla realized Zordon selected 5 rangers.  And she decided to search for someone to take her green coin and morph as the evil green ranger. Tommy Oliver was chosen under Rita’s spell to destroy the rangers. After Jason helped Tommy break free from the evil spell, Tommy decided to help the rest of the rangers to stop Rita. Throughout the Power Ranger seasons, Tommy Oliver was also the white, red, and black ranger(s).

A Reunion Could Happen

Not only did Jason David Frank came to town to see his Power Rangers fans, but he was also promoting his next project. Which is an inspired Power Rangers film, Legend of the White Dragon. A close source from Frank’s team mentioned a possible Power Rangers Movie, and waiting for production to include the Ranger actor (back in December).  Hopefully, the rumored 30th anniversary Power Rangers special (movie or season) will include Frank with David Yost (played as Billy), and the rest of the surviving actors from the first season!
